Hesperides is born after an Hackaton organized by Voyages-sncf Technologies internally. The fact is that it was harder and harder to manage properties of a growing number of applications and platforms, and that none of the existing solutions were satisfying.
During many years, we used excel files to generate files associating application, platforms and properties. We built kind of labyrinthine system.
With the growing number of application, excel files were bigger and bigger, what made it became increasingly slow just to generate files.
As said in the introduction, Hesperides was born during an Hackaton. The first step was to isolate model (templates) and valuation to be able to manipulate them easily.
The speed use (angular) and the possibilities of evolution made that Hesperides was quickly adopted by users.
After one year of uses and evolutions inside Voyages-sncf Technologies company, it's time for Hesperides to take flight and to enter in an open sourcing world !
