Indi Layne sat at her favorite coffee shop alone drinking her favorite iced coffee with brown sugar and skim milk. On the sidewalk in front of her table she spots a plastic cup, a smashed coca cola can and some candy wrappers traveling through the wind. She wonders what it would be like if she could [[make a change in the world.]]"Hey, is this seat taken?" She nearly spits her coffee out on her lap. She was not expecting company especially when in deep thought. He was handsome, dressed in a suit and looked like he may have some interesting stories to tell. "Go right ahead," she said. "Von Clark....and your name?" She grinned, "Indi....Indi Layne." [[And that is how they met...at Cafe Bella.]]Indi coudn't help but feel excitment every time she saw one of Von's designs. He was a landscape architect. He was amazing at what he did. And he loved every moment of it. She knew she needed to find a way to incorporate his ideas in her big goals. How can we save the planet? Ok that is crazy, lets start small. "How can we make it easier for boneheads to stop trashing up the streets," she thought. She hated the idea of littering and all the little animals that could be affected by it. The city looked dirty, unpleasant and the air was polluted. I guess that was NYC for you. [[But did it have to be this way?]]Soon enough, her and Von came up with a business plan to create recycle bins on every street corner and aesthically pleasing to the eye, to make it fun and to stay clean. And Von's part in this whole thing? Create an abundance of foliage on the streets to inspire a peaceful atmosphere, provide healthy breathing air all while restoring nature and giving birds a place to sing. Ok she might be a little over the top but she meant no harm. [[She was a dreamer but these dreams needed to become reality and that meant money.]]Their meeting with City Comissioner Daniel George was in progress and anything Indi had to say made absolutely no impression on George. He was an egotistical character. Very dry and relentlessly blunt. He almost had a grin that looked like it was saying, "Stupid stupid girl...when will she stop talking so I can finish up my game of Candy Crush." Von could feel the disconnect between the two parties and knew this would take a lot more convincing than this. Getting approved meant something more than finding a pretty home for the birds and [[stopping global warming in its tracks.]]"Yo, Harrison! Wait up!" Harrison Moore was Von's childhood best friend. He was so well off he could buy the city lunch and afford dessert, too. "Well if it isn't Clark the Shark! My man! How are you my friend?" Von and Harrison grabbed coffee and proceeded to discuss failed relationships and how awful the Dolphins played since they were kids. "On a more serious note... I have this favor to ask of you." Harrison owned the biggest bank in NYC. He was fairly young but his father passed down the ownership and Harrison didn't hesitate to take over. "...a loan for 100 million buzookos....that is a lot of money Shark," Harrison explained.
[["But you're Clark the Shark and you were always there for me. You did say your lady has a friend right? Show me the honey and I'll show you the money." Harrison did always have a sense of humor.]]Years had passed, and Von and Indi got married. Of course, they did it in front of their favorite coffee shop. But it's surroundings looked far more romantic than in years passed. There were tulip pots hanging from every street lamp post. Trees a foot away from one another for miles. Flowers and birds and colors surrounding the streets. And recyclible bins. Lots of them. Indi sat at her favorite coffee shop drinking her favorite iced coffee with brown sugar and slim milk sitting with her favorite person in the world. She saw a plastic cup on the street. A young teen walks by with her friends and picked up the cup. She threw it in the recycling bin at the corner of the block. Indi smiled, "I never thought I would see a group of kids care about the environment. Reminds me alot of... well me."
