This document reproduces the example “NIPS bag-of-words” presented in the paper “Probabilistic archetypal analysis” by Seth and Eugster (2014). The Rmd file lists the corresponding R code. The probabilistic solution is compared with the solution presented in Archetypal analysis for machine learning and data mining by Morup and Hansen (2012).
